Meet Laura Anderson

Executive Functioning Specialist

With 20 plus years of experience in the field of Special Education, I have had the privilege of supporting students across the entire developmental spectrum—from the foundational years of elementary school through the pivotal transitions of middle and high school. My career is built on the belief that every student learns differently, and my mission is to find the unique key that unlocks their potential.

Beyond the traditional classroom, I served as a dedicated tutor and am an Extended School Year (ESY) instructor, ensuring learning remains continuous and consistent. I pride myself on being a collaborative partner, working hand-in-hand with speech therapists, OTs, and families to create a unified support system for every child.

My commitment to this work isn’t just professional; it’s personal. As a mother to children with Dyslexia and ADHD, I understand the "kitchen table" side of the IEP process. I bring that empathy and lived experience into every meeting and lesson, advocating for my students as if they were my own.

Available in Cary for in person or virtual appointments.
