Meet Rebecca Harrison

I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor associate with a Master of Arts in Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from UNC Pembroke. Mental illness runs in my family, so I have always been passionate about psychology and learning about how the brain works. When I’m not working, I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

I am a person-centered counselor and strive to provide a warm and accepting environment. I believe the most important ingredient to successful treatment is a strong relationship between the therapist and the client. Through a multiculturally competent lens, I honor all cultures and identities. I provide individual counseling for children (3+), adolescents, and adults experiencing various mental health disorders. I provide play therapy for children and provide parent training for their caregivers. I have advanced experience in helping people with ADHD, mood disorders, OCD, anxiety, trauma, and child behavioral disorders.
