Meet Brittany Starbuck

Brittany Starbuck is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate. She obtained both her Bachelor and Master of Social Work from Appalachian State University. Go neers! Brittany has been working with youth in a variety of settings and capacities for over 5 years.

Brittany previously worked at a therapeutic boarding school which provided her with a wealth of opportunities and knowledge in regards to working with families and children.

Brittany utilizes a trauma-informed approach to building relationships with clients. She incorporates a variety of treatment modalities in her work including EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Social Emotional Learning, Mindfulness, Expressive Arts, and Sand Tray Therapy to meet the unique needs of clients.

About Brittany

In her spare time, Brittany enjoys spending time in nature. Her favorite outdoor activities include mountain biking, canoeing, and rock climbing. She especially loves when one of those activities requires a road trip! She also enjoys finding different ways to give back to the local community and spending time with her pup Frannie.

  • Helping Individuals see that therapy can be much more than sitting on a couch and talking about their feelings
  • Helping individuals with identity exploration, building self-confidence/compassion, and learn healthy coping skills to manage their thoughts and behaviors
  • Working with individuals to provide treatment to help manage the effects of trauma
