Meet Lily Burr

I am a LCSWA who grew up in Durham and recently moved back to North Carolina with my two cats (Norman and Monroe). I received my BA in Public Health from American University in Washington, DC, and Masters in Social Work from Fordham University in New York City.

I have experience working with adults, children, and adolescents and I specialize in addiction services. I have additional experience as an alternative-to-incarceration counselor and harm-reduction case-manager. I have worked with youth and adults through a number of sensitive issues including substance abuse and addiction, incarceration of a family member or oneself, and loss of a parent or sibling. I utilize a non-judgmental and trauma-informed approach and believe in the inherent worth of each individual and their capacity to change. I also provide a safe space for LGBTQIA+ youth and their families.

Located in Chapel Hill, NC and Fuquay Varina, NC for in-person or virtual appointments.

Areas of Specialty

I have experience utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, Rational Emotive Therapy, and Social Emotional Learning with groups and individual clients. I will meet you where you are and work to find the best way to help you meet your unique goals. I'm ready to be your teammate in your mental health journey and I will strive to support you in feeling confident in yourself and your ability to overcome challenges.
