Meet Bryson

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate. I obtained both my Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Master of Social Work from Marshall University. I have been working with youth in different capacities for 4 years.

I currently work full-time with justice involved adults in the federal system. I have previously worked with justice involved juveniles serving as a Juvenile Court Counselor and served as a Permanency Social Worker for a non-profit agency.

I have a genuine passion for working with adolescents and young adults. I feel my own childhood experiences have shaped my work and aid in making connections with youth. My core values include empathy, accepting individuals for who they are and promoting positive change.

About Bryson

I work from a Dialectical Behavior perspective, acknowledging that life happens and can be complex. It promotes resilience, mindfulness and emotional regulation. I feel it is important to understand that health, both mental and physical, are dynamic and constantly changing for everyone. Much like health, I believe in being dynamic in my work with young people and tailoring each approach through a collaborative process to what works best for the individuals involved.

Specialties

  • Helping young people process their emotions and allowing them to express themselves in a safe environment.
  • Helping youth develop and/or improve interpersonal skills that they can continue to utilize throughout adulthood.
  • Working with individuals to encourage positive change and implementing ways to maintain personal growth.
  • Maintaining professionalism while cultivating an authentic working relationship.
