Rigo Mendez (he/him) is a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate who supports children, adults, and families in the Chapel Hill community. He recently relocated to North Carolina from Florida and has enjoyed becoming part of the local community.
Rigo earned his Master’s in Social Work from Florida Atlantic University, where he focused on clinical social work and gained experience providing both individual and group counseling. His work is grounded in empathy, compassion, and connection, helping clients build healthier relationships with themselves and others.
As a trauma-informed therapist, Rigo values a person-centered approach that honors each client’s story, strengths, creativity, and unique forms of expression. He believes healing is possible when people feel safe, supported, and understood.
Rigo has experience working with children and adults navigating trauma, neurodivergence, anxiety, depression, ADHD, attachment concerns, substance use, and internalized or externalized shame. His goal is to help clients recognize their inner strengths, work through challenges, and feel supported along the way.
