Meet Jessica Ricks

I am an associate Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor specializing in supporting children, adolescents, and young adults through life’s challenges. Whether navigating school stress, relationships, family dynamics, or mental health struggles, I offer a safe and compassionate space for clients of all ages to explore their emotions, build resilience, and develop practical skills for managing the complexities of life.

After 2+ years of working at Be a Problem Solver I have developed a passion for helping clients find their voice, build confidence, and cope with the pressures they face in today’s fast-paced world. I work collaboratively with my clients, offering a warm and nonjudgmental environment where they can feel heard and understood. My approach is rooted in empathy and respect, focused on providing clients with the tools they need to develop emotional regulation, healthy coping mechanisms, and a deeper sense of self-awareness.

I use a combination of evidence-based therapies, including CBT, DBT, mindfulness techniques, as well as other creative and expressive arts modalities to help children, adolescents, and young adults address a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, self-esteem struggles, relationship challenges, and academic or career-related stressors. I also specialize in working with families to improve communication and resolve conflicts, offering individual therapy to either children or parents so all feel more connected and understood.

I’m deeply committed to helping young people—whether they are children, teens, or adults—discover their strengths and build a solid foundation for a fulfilling, balanced life. My goal is to empower each client to face life’s challenges with confidence and resilience, while providing ongoing support and guidance every step of the way.
