Professional Background
I have a Master’s degree in School Counseling from Capella University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Arizona State University. I am both a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate and a Licensed School Counselor. I have experience working with children and adolescents in the areas of anxiety, depression, self-esteem, bereavement, motivation, anger, relationship concerns, identity development, and academic/career achievement.
I am also a person-centered counselor, which means I believe healing and growth occurs through warm, accepting, and genuine relationships. Through our collaborative counseling relationship, you will learn the tools and techniques you need to be successful outside of therapy and become more confident in your unique strengths.
About Me
I was born and raised in Southern California, where I spent most of my time near the Pacific Ocean. I have now lived in North Carolina for several years and I am still in awe of our lush greenery and the beautiful seasonal changes. I am so proud to be a counselor at Be a Problem Solver Services, where my passions for the field of counseling and helping adolescents meet perfectly. I am very family-oriented and spend most of my free time with my son and our two pets. For self care, I love to visit art museums, attend live music festivals, laugh with friends, read, journal, and watch YouTube videos.
