Meet Taylor Semple

Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate (LCSWA)

Serving clients in Cary and Fuquay Varina

Hi, I’m Taylor Semple, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) serving children (ages 5+), adolescents, young adults, and college students. I was born and raised in Fayetteville, NC, and have been a part of the Triangle community for the past nine years. I offer both in-person sessions in Cary and Fuquay Varina, as well as virtual therapy across North Carolina for individuals and families navigating emotional, behavioral, and life challenges.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Fayetteville State University and my Master’s in Social Work from North Carolina Central University. Over the course of my career, I’ve worked across school, community, hospital, and intensive in-home settings, providing therapy and interventions for youth and families experiencing anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, attachment concerns, social skill development, and life transitions. These experiences have shaped my approach to therapy and strengthened my ability to collaborate with families, schools, and other support systems. My goal is to help clients feel heard, understood, and empowered while developing the skills they need to navigate life with confidence. I focus on building coping strategies, strengthening emotional regulation, and enhancing clients’ understanding of the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I also prioritize collaboration with families, ensuring parents feel informed and involved in helping their children thrive.

My therapeutic approach draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and mindfulness/meditation practices, all delivered through a trauma-informed lens. I strive to create a collaborative, nonjudgmental environment that honors each client’s unique strengths, experiences, and pace of growth.

Outside of work, I enjoy arts and crafts, exploring creative projects, and spending quality time with my dog and family. I also enjoy finding ways to stay active and engaged in my local community, which helps me bring energy and balance to my work with clients.

Areas of Specialty:

  • Anxiety and depression in children, adolescents, and young adults
  • Emotional regulation and coping skills
  • Behavioral challenges at school and home
  • Attachment concerns and social skills development
  • Life transitions and stress management
  • Therapy with LGBTQ+ clients

Available in Cary NC and Fuquay Varina NC for in person or virtual appointments.
